 Maesbury Marsh to  Redwith (Section 4)
The section from Maesbury Marsh to Redwith provides an enjoyable walk between the Navigation Inn and the B4396 Knockin to Llynclys road at Redwith.

This section is navigable and connected to the national network.
1) Maesbury Marsh
  Looking South from the road bridge by the Navigation Inn (Bridge number 79) past the site of the Wharf with the base of its wharf crane, the only one to remain of the two original wharf cranes that were employed at a warehouse that was destroyed by fire on the 23rd of April 1968.

3a) Maesbury Marsh

To the left of the tow-path is seen the new eco- friendly “Canal Central”.  Incorporating Maesbury Post Office, canal side cafe, shop and b&b.

6) Between Spiggots Bridge ( No 80) and Crofts Mill Bridge    ( No 81 ) .
New 48hr moorings.
A designation post is by the side of the tow-path.

7) The wide shallows near to Crofts Mill Lift Bridge ( No 81 ).
(An off-line nature reserve).

8) Crofts Mill Lift Bridge ( No 81 ).
Also known as the Mill Arm Bridge. The entrance to the Mill Arm, fed from the Morda Brook, is to its left. Note the mooring bollards on the tow path for bridge use.

9) The Mill Arm
  A trip boat seen here in 2003 after the section was re-opened. The premises of Maesbury Marine Services is seen to the left.
10) The Gronwen.
  On the off-side, adjacent to the entrance to Gronwen Wharf is an overflow taking run off water back to the course of the Morda Brook.
11)  Gronwen Wharf seen from Gronwen (or Gronwyn). Bridge Number 82 is the current limit of navigation for the section that was reopened in April 2003. The wharf was the tran-shipment point for the three mile long feeder tramway known as the Gronwen Colliery or  Morda Tramway ( Its working life ended around 1879 ) .
